off-day

these are the things..

Reading books and magazines and surfing the web for inspiration -kind of Thursday. Also cereal with chopped pear and oatmilk is my favourite thing to eat right now.

I found:
disturbing knitted art
almost naked animals
a giant collection of vintage postcards (via we make money not art)

P.S. make your own forest.

moment

Today is the day I got a job as a graphic designer. Semi-permanent and part-time, which is perfect for me, since it leaves time for school and pursuing more illustration jobs. Anyway, I am so excited to get to work with print projects!

Today is also a day I proclaimed my day off (since I will be working all weekend), so I went to pick up a couple of movies, my intention to spend the day in pajamas and do only fun things. (Although I’ll neglect the pajamas to go see Walk the Line in the evening.)

The photo above is a piece of course work for architecture photography course I am on. I’ve really enjoyed the course so far.
Finds (via yesterday’s lecture):
Francesca Woodman, Duane Michals.
I especially like Michals’s collaborations of text and image. And his notes.

This photograph is my proof. There was that afternoon, when things were still good between us, and she embraced me, and we were so happy. It did happen, she did love me. Look see for yourself.

P.S. Oh, monsterfactory has a blog! I’d kind of want a trevor, he could live on our dining room sofa and be my best friend.

happy-sleeping

needed wanted:
envelopes, thicker coloured paper, gold paint, printer ink, drawing ink (of some colour), stuff to make wings of, transfer-on-paper letters, spangles, new paintbrushes

Tuesdays are free days, packed with miles long To Do-lists. My baby (Onni the dog) is here for the week. He wakes me up early in the morning and takes me out, then falls asleep for the rest of the day while I avoid work. Dreaming of adventures makes his paws and nose twitch. Maybe he is chasing after rabbits, or shoes (like the flip flop he gnawed on the most of last night), my cityliving dog.
