There is a serious amount of work to get through. Three big assignments and a bunch of smaller ones. I am starting to think of this as a six month work-camp. Yet that is okay, what else is there to do here? This reminds me of my first year of studying after high school. I lived in a small town away from my family and there was nothing but the schoolwork and going home for weekends. It’s the same now, minus the weekends.

There is clarity in this kind of thing, being away from the usual distractions, life. Working constantly produces a serious flow of ideas. I feel better about my work than in years. I can become a good designer. It’s all down to working hard. Why did I forget that?

Werkplaats Typografie would be a great place to study for masters, only they take on about five people a year… I want this stunning book of their work. (Got to browse it yesterday, some of the teachers studied there)
