The first morning is a slow one. The lingering cold has finally hit, so now it’s sipping tea and cold meds before (hopefully) getting to Amsterdam for a New Years Party with a friend.

Note to self: UHT milk – not a good idea. Might come out from the carton in clumps. It’s normal milk or black coffee for my lactose challenged tummy from now on. And nothing wrong with black coffee, especially with a couple m&m’s..

Tomorrow is the last day and the last errand to run: a pile of passport photos. Then the last dinner with family, last drinks with friends. On Tuesday my flight to Holland. There’s a little travel fever. It feels good to leave now.

Each thing crossed off my list lightens my step a little. Now (almost) everything is done and I am off for a week of Christmas holiday away from Helsinki. Then it’s time to pack my bags and head to the Hague for new adventures. I promise to blog and photograph a lot next year!
