October 1st, 2005Surely you can call a party a success if:
you feel like you don’t have time to talk to anyone properly. all the food vanishes. as does the punch. you have to go to the kitchen the other way since the dining room is so packed. people hide under a blanket in your bed because they don’t want to leave when it’s time to go to the bar. one of your afterparty guests deems a 5e wine “fabulous”, drinks the whole bottle and sleeps on the dining room rug. you claim that for once your drinking was moderate until hangover hits and you remember those forgotten drinks. you take back your words “i will never throw another party”.
